Our story follows Loko, a young warrior & survivor of genocide, along with his sister, Simbi, as they fight their way out of the cave system they’ve been surviving in for the past three years. Finally back on Dyaman Zile topsoil, feeling the moonlight on their skin, they cross paths with Ti Ton Ton, a nomadic elder with mystical connections, and Ku, a dangerously powerful fighter haunted by his own destructive past. Reluctant, yet prophetically, they embark on a journey that marks the start of their new life together! Along the way, they meet Lady Sharpe, a Maroon survivor of the spreading colonial violence with superpowered sword-yielding skills, who provides intelligence on Mr. White’s actions of raiding villages, abducting children, and building an enslaved workforce across the island. Together, with another superpowered cave-dwelling Maroon survivor, Aniki, and a "sacrificed" Taino mage named Kisekeya, the band of outcasts becomes the legendary 509.  ​

The short film will focus on the ensemble's formation; their conflicts, grief, and bonding through skills training at a fortress called the Citadel, culminating in their first coordinated move against Mr. White's advancing forces.
